Recognizing that security analysts come with varying degrees of skill, experience, time and inclination to develop their own security analytics, Click Security has approached Real-time Security Analytics from a true platform perspective. This means there are multiple ways to take advantage of our solution:
Platform Only
At a minimum, you will always need the platform itself. The platform consists of some number of DMUs and MPUs – depending upon the amount of traffic you wish to ingest and the number of analytics you wish to run – each of which is equipped with the following software elements:
- Miner Modules
- Interpreter Modules
- Base Analyzer Layer
- LT Data Store
- Ability to create your own Workbooks and Modules
This is a capable and powerful start to the development of security analytics you already have in mind, where organized access to raw telemetry data is sufficient.
Platform Plus Click Labs Module Packs
The next level of product offering adds optional ‘Module Packs’ written by Click Labs. Examples of module packs include:
- Threat Visualization Pack
- Threat Anomaly Pack
- Threat Augmentation Pack
This is a good option for analysts who prefer to get a ‘head start’ on your own security analytics development by taking advantage of Click Lab’s platform and security threat knowledge. These module packs can be run independently, but begin to take on more value when combined with one another – where additional modules and workbooks can be created by customers, or third party module developers.
Platform Plus RtSA Application(s)
The third level of product offering adds fully packaged applications on top – providing a rich security analytic environment complete with a specific set of workbooks, custom visualizations, and necessary integration to application specific and/or base analyzer layers.
This option is really the best of all worlds as it still exposes all the power of the platform underpinnings and data layers, but comes with ready-to-use applications as well. The analyst can now take advantage of the latest and greatest modules and workbooks produced by Click Labs on an ongoing basis, and also build upon any layer of the product with his own modules and workbooks.
